Sometimes low-design works better than high-design. This simple packaging design, which was a component of a larger campaign we were conducting at the time, generated approximately $75M in sales. Part of the reason for this success may be due to the unusual package shape, which demanded immediate attention as it could not be stacked with regular mail in the receiver's in-basket. The playful nature of the campaign aided in a higher-than-normal response. Often just getting an offer read by the intended recipient makes the sale possible....
